February 1st, 2012

- By 2030 60% of worlds population will live in urban areas

- It´s estimated that there will be 31 megacities in the world  (urban areas with more than 10,000,000 population)

- There is likely to be strong growth in the megacities, exceeding 20,000,000 resident

By Exporting the Norwegian way of embrace nature and use it actively for fun and recreation

The project Lightweight mobility 2030 which we have been working on for the last few months ended with presentation for KISKA last thursday. It has been three weeks of really hard work after New Years Eve, but it paid off for all of us. On the picture the proud members of TD1 are posing in front of the presentation posters flanked by teachers and tutor Christof Taübl from KISKA in front. I will post more from this project soon….

Lightweight Mobility

October 21st, 2011

This autumn TD1 at UID will be designing energy-efficient vehicle concepts adapted to future transportation scenarios in collaboration with KISKA. As a kickoff for the project each one of us made an advanced moodboard to investigate visual lightweigt. This abstract “paper sculpture” was my attempt to make a tangible model of my three lightweight-keywords: Balance, flow and precision.
